The Brause 511 is a high flex nib that produces fine hairlines, small swells, and requires a gentle hand. Very similar to theĀ Brause 513Ā nib in appearance and performance, save for a few key differences: The 511 is scratchier, and does not glide well on textured paper. The 511 is also more flexible than the 513, making it more suitable for intermediate and advanced calligraphers than beginners. Excellent for drawing, tiny writing, and Spencerian.
