The Strathmore 400 Series Gray Scale Pads are heavyweight paper in gray scale colors ranging from white to black. There are three sheets each of white, black, and three grays. It is great for value studies using charcoal, pastel, chalk and sketching sticks. With 15 assorted sheets of 80lb textured artist paper. White, black and three gray tints are ideal for tonal studies, the 400 Series Pads are great for use with charcoal, pastel, chalk and artist crayon.

The Fabriano Bristol paper features 20 sheets of 250gsm, paper is produced utilising hydroelectric power thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. Being an ultra-smooth surafce it is ideal for ink, solvent-based markers, felt-tip pens, watercolour, gouache, airbrush, pencil and charcoal. The smooth surface is resistant to repeated erasure and scraping. The absence of acid guarantees its inalterability over time. The individual shrink-wrapping protects the product and gaurantee its quality. Made in Italy.

This paper painting pad features 246 lb (400 g/m2) paper which is ideal for acrylic painting. The heavyweight linen finish is perfect for acrylic painting. Tape bound, 10 sheets per pad. Made with the acrylic artist in mind, but it is also well suited for a variety of other painting, drawing, pastel or charcoal applications where a heavy paper with a toothy surface is desirable. Strathmore 400 Series Marker Pads
Strathmore 400 Series Marker paper works beautifully with a range of marker types, specifically for alcohol based markers.
It is intentionally not completely bleed-proof. As an artists lays down marker strokes, the colour slowly sinks into the sheet. This allows the artist to move the ink around, blend, and pick up colour if needed. It will take around 13-15 layers of marker before the colour soaks through to the other side of the sheet.
The 400 Series Marker paper is a bright white sheet, acid-free, and does not contain any Optical Brighteners.
The Pad contains 24 sheets.
