Due to the very soft nature of these pastel pencils, they are easy to use and are ideal for blending and smudging. Mont Marte’s fine pigments ensure a high degree of light fastness and coverage.
The Pastel Pencils are easily controlled and can be used in conjunction with soft and hard pastels to create delicate lines and details. In order to sharpen these pencils, we recommend using a detail knife or new blade. Sharpen slowly and aim for a gentle angle so the wood supports the pigment strip. We advise against the use of sharpeners due to the very soft and fragile nature of the pigment strip.
