Golden Wetting Aid is a concentrated additive used to reduce the surface tension of acrylic paint mixtures that have been heavily diluted with water, thereby increasing the slickness and flow of the paint. It is effective for achieving rich stains and allows colour washes to readily spread and absorb into raw canvas and other absorbent surfaces.
Wetting Aid is a concentrated surfactant. A surfactant is a liquid, surface-active ingredient that reduces the surface tension of waterborne acrylics, thus improving wetting and maintaining the flow of the paint. Most acrylic paints and mediums contain low levels of surfactants, but when water is added the need to add additional surfactants increases.
An industry secret that's perfect for adhering Angelus Acrylic Paints to non-porous surfaces such as plastic or glass. GAC-200 promotes adhesion and film hardness when mixed with Angelus Acrylic Paints.
Directions:
Mix with Angelus Acrylic Paints: 50% GAC-200 for flexible surfaces, 75% GAC-200 for rigid surfaces.
Apply multiple thin coats until you obtain full and even coverage.
